Yan Bou

Yan Bou, has passed peacefully at the age of 87 on June 29th, 2022 at 11:32PM at Saint Joseph Hospital in Wichita, KS surrounded with loved ones by her side.

Born on February 1st, 1935 in Svay Rieng, Cambodia with many titles to her name. Wife, Mom, Aunt, Grandma, Neighbor, & Friend, has fulfilled many obstacles & accomplishments with her time here. From having children, walking endless miles to a refugee camp while the war in Cambodia, to adapting a brand-new challenging lifestyle in America. Yan is a definition of survivor that beat the odds of many.

Yan enjoyed her faith as a Buddhist and was an avid contributor to Wat Ratanakreangsey - Wichita Cambodian Buddhist Temple. She always loved to be surrounded by people, language barrier and all, she will try and make conversation no matter the circumstances.

Yan was preceded in death by: Rath Bou, Chan Snguon, Chan Shawn.

Yan is survived by: (Children) Roth Sophone, Roth Sarun, Rath Sophay, Roth Yun, Cindy Thach, Workman Kirk, Moeut Nouon, Sen Chanda, Ngoeuth Cody Ngoun, Sim Eica Seang, Cannon Christine, Cannon Brian, Sor Soksamin, Sum Vandy, So Melissa, Rath Pn, Rath Sa Ruhn. Thongsavanh, Sithisanh, Sim Soy. (Grandchildren) Roux-Chau Saphir, Chau Laetitia, Chau Caroline, Rath Christophe, Rath Elisabeth, Rat Isabelle, Rath Alexandre, Nuon Mon, Nuon Yann, Nuon Mait, Nuon Moeun, Nuon Jan, Nuon Chana, Nuon Chenda, Rath Chaya, Thach Hai, Thach Minh Ha, Rath Mathew, Rath Timothy, Thach Richard, Ngoun Marianda, Reth Sheree, Ngoun Melissa, Reynolds Monarae, Samola Jeandy, Chan Travis, Chan Monica, Chan Natalie, Chan Daleena, Chan Allan, Sok Triya, Chan Andrew, Sok Trey, Chan Chalant, Yang Somaly, Phommavanh Steven, Phanith Syamphone(Tao), Phommavanh Salina, Thongsavanh Tyler, Thongsavanh Tiara, and many more great grandchildren.

Visitation: Friday, July 8, 2022, from 3 to 8 pm. Traditional Buddhist Service: 1 pm, Saturday, July 9, 2022, both at Reflection Pointe Funeral & Cremation Services, 3201 S. Webb Rd., Wichita, KS 67210.
