Verlin David Shaffer

Verlin David Shaffer, 82, of Rogers, AR, passed away January 31, 2018 in Rogers.  He was born December 22, 1935 in Guthrie, OK to Clyde and Mary (Vincent) Shaffer.  Verlin formerly worked for Vornado Air,LLC, he was a county surveyor, and retired after 42 years with Beech Aircraft in Wichita.  He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Julie Baker; and grandson, Austin Haddad.  Verlin is survived by his companion of 31 years, Paula Hudson of the home; children, Mike (Lavetta) Shaffer, Sharon (Tom) Haddad and Scott Shaffer; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.  Visitation: Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 1 to 4 pm and Monday, February 4, 2018 from 10 am to 2 pm.  Funeral: 2 pm, Monday, February 5, 2018; all at Reflection Pointe Funeral & Cremation Services, 3201 S. Webb Rd., Wichita, KS 67210.  Interment to follow at Reflection Pointe Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1820 E. Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS 67214.
