Nouanta Phouangmala

Nouanta Phouangmala, 74, passed away Monday, October 5, 2026. He was born September 30, 1952 in Vientiane, Laos.

Nouanta was a devoted husband, father, and a beloved pillar of his family and community. Deeply connected to his culture and faith, he brought joy to gatherings as a talented singer and musician within the local Wat Lao community. Naturally brilliant and resourceful, Nouanta possessed a sharp engineering mind—whether repairing complex electronics or taking on hands-on home projects, he used his talents generously to help anyone in need. Above all, his greatest happiness came from being surrounded by his loved ones, sharing good food, laughter, and music.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Tom is survived by his wife, Papao Phouangmala; children, Vorada Phouangmala, Natdia Phouangmala, Adam (Alysia) Phouangmala; and grandchildren, Alexis Miller, Maurice Miller, Ava Phouangmala, Javen Phouangmala, Aurora Phouangmala, Neo Phouangmala, Mila Phouangmala, and Rhea Phouangmala.

Visitation: Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 3 to 6 pm and Friday, October 9, 2026 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral: 1 pm, Saturday, October 10, 2026; all at Reflection Pointe Funeral & Cremation Services, 3201 S. Webb Rd., Wichita, KS 67210.
