Mary Alice was intelligent, witty, and outgoing. She had many hobbies and interests, including furniture restoration, home decorating, gardening, drawing, painting, yarn crafts and was especially proud of her Swedish toothbrush rugs. She could take any ordinary item and create art. She was the published author of the book “Eggs Before Breakfast”.  Her family will enjoy the 40 years of “PIGS” books which include photos cut from magazines, articles of interest, personal documents, cards, and her observations. She loved animals and adopted many rescues. Mary Alice always had a cat on her lap and a dog at her feet, or 2 or 3.

She will be greatly missed by her family, but we are so thankful she is at peace and can again do all the things she loved.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Esther, Peter, and the other staff of Amani Home Plus for their loving care of Mary Alice during her struggle with dementia.
