Kyle W. Dodds

Kyle William Dodds, 26, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022. Kyle was born Dec. 27, 1995, in Wichita, Kansas, the youngest child of Mark and Cori Dodds. He was employed as an equipment operator for Utility and Plumbing Solutions of Wichita. He was proud to be recognized as top operator of the year. He had also worked in construction, and for a time he owned a remodeling and flooring installation business.

Kyle was a true craftsman and jack-of-all-trades and was able to learn anything he put his mind to. In fact, he always strived to be the very best at everything he did, and nearly always succeeded. He shared his many talents with everyone who was in need of something he could do.

Kyle lived life to the fullest and at full speed. He loved camping, fishing, bonfires and anything he could do outdoors. Everything he did, he did big. Kyle had a huge heart and was always willing to help his friends and family with anything they needed. He made friends everywhere he went, but his greatest joy was his family. His ready smile, quick wit and infectious laugh will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Kyle is survived by his wife, Taylor Lawrence, sons Taylor Shane (10) and Oakley Maddox (2), daughter Emmalynn Rylee (8), siblings Evan (Michelle) Dodds, Alyx (Mike) Garner, and Ryan (Tom Hawkins) Dodds, parents Mark and Cori (Sedgwick) Dodds, grandparents Alan and Lois Sedgwick, and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

A public visitation will be held 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, at Reflection Pointe, 3201 S Webb Rd, Wichita. Family will be present to receive friends 5-7 p.m. A celebration of Kyle’s life will be held Dec. 27, 2022.
