Kenneth "Kenny" Popejoy

Kenneth "Kenny" Popejoy, 91, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022.  He was born April 8, 1931 to Ewing and Ruby (Wheeler) Popejoy in Greenville, MO.  

Kenny served in the US Air Force during the Korean War.  He retired from Boeing as a sheet metal assembler.  Kenny enjoyed square dancing, hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, water skiing, and reading. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 56 years, LaVona; granddaughter, Keely Popejoy; dog, Taffy.  Kenny is survived by his children, Korla Popejoy, Angela Brickey, and Rod (Linda) Dixon; grandchildren, Mike (Rachel) Malcom, Jason (Melissa) McCoy, Rodney (Meagan) Dixon II, Hunter (Erika) Breth, Steven Dixon, Blair (Josh) Wilson, Blake Brickey, Evelyn (Ray) Branch, Katy (Richard) Popejoy, Sarah Popejoy; great-grandchildren, Ella, Hudson, Penelope, Savannah, Rodney III, Reed, Hadley, Archer, Kameron, Kynzi, Izabella, Lylli, Karson, Owen, Gabi Rose, Kody, and Kaiden; and beloved cat, Callie. 

Funeral Service: 1:30 pm, Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the Rose Hill Christian Church, 314 N. Rose Hill Rd., Rose Hill, KS 67133.  Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
