Jun Cabrera Lansang

Jun was born on March 1,1980, in Angeles City-Pampanga, Philippines to his amazing parents Angelita Cabrera (8/23/1947-5/5/2000) and Francisco Lansang. Growing up in the Philippines, Jun enjoyed playing with his brothers Romwel and Rohnel whom he loved dearly. They shared the love of basketball and swimming. They grew up playing with their many cousins. Jun often like to tell stories of the water buffalo they cared for on their grandparents’ farm. If you asked him to kill a spider you were going to hear how they fought spiders growing up in the Philippines.

When Jun was 8, he was adopted by his Aunt Fortunata Burns (Jim Burns) with his cousins Irene and Michelle. Coming to the US bought him many opportunities, more than he could ever imagine. At the age of 15, God allowed him to cross paths with who he would affectionately refer to as Mama and Pops, his brothers from another mother, Anthony Bess, Tyron Porter, and Courtland Gray. His one and only sister, Talia Gray. He was always thankful and appreciative to every person that guided and molded him throughout his life.

Jun worked various jobs as a young adult, but it was his job at GMAC financing where his life would change. He met his wife, his Boo, Jamie (Brown). He stepped into dad role immediately with helping her raise, Caleb. They were married on March 10, 2006, and would be married for the next 20 years, doing life together. They would eventually give birth to his princess Maliyah. Jun enjoyed the youth and was his happiest when the house was full of kids. Caleb’s friends knew to ask him if they could stay the night because he was always going to say yes. Something that Mama and Pops had shown him. Throughout their marriage they would foster many kids, resulting in the very special adoption of Braulio. Braulio came right on time as Caleb and Maliyah were growing up and Jun grieved the thought of them leaving home soon. He wanted his kids to stay home forever. Anyone that knew Jun knew his kids were his pride and joy.

Jun worked at Spirit Aerosystems for 20 years as a sealer and it was there that he met some of his best friends. He was very particular about his craft and tools. Everyone at Spirit knew he was passionate and a perfectionist about his work and anyone that stepped in the way of that was going to hear about it. He celebrated 20 years of employment in July 2026 and was ecstatic about his new parking spot he earned

Although a man of few words and big smiles his best times were being around family and friends. He loved watching his kids play sports and never missed a game. He loved his game shows and could often be heard screaming at the tv during his favorite games. No one could tell him anything about his Jayhawks and Chiefs.

Jun is preceded in death by his mother whom he loved dearly Angelita Cabrera, who passed away in 2000. He is survived by his father, Francisco Lansang of the Philippines; wife, Jamie Lansang; children, Caleb, Maliyah and Braulio; and brothers, Romwel Lansang and Rohnel Lansang of the Philippines. He was surrounded by a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends who cared about him deeply.

Visitation: Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral: 10 am, Friday, September 25, 2026, both at Reflection Pointe Funeral & Cremation Services, 3201 S. Webb Rd., Wichita, KS 67210.  Interment to follow at Reflection Pointe Cemetery.
