Jennifer Marie Engelbrecht, 41, fell asleep in the LORD on Thursday, April 23, 2026. She was born in Wichita, Kansas, to Curtis and Debra Engelbrecht.
Jennifer, who went by Jenni, was deeply passionate about cars, especially Corvettes. Jenni found joy in every part of them. She also loved art in all its forms, and she had a particular fondness for Sharpies, markers, and tattoo art.
Jenni had a love for animals, with a special place in her heart for horses and dogs, as shown through the many puppies she welcomed and cared for over the years. Jenni filled her home with sunflower, daisy, rose, and cherry designs. She liked music of all types, and especially enjoyed playing the piano and organ.
Jenni had a deep faith in Christ as her Savior, which shaped the way she lived and loved others. She was generous to those around her and found joy in giving, caring for others, and making people feel seen and valued.
Jenni was preceded in death by her husband, Ory Smith, and his parents, Jimmy and Debra Smith.
Jenni is survived by her parents, Curtis and Debra Engelbrecht; her siblings, Josh (Liesel) Engelbrecht, Jacque (Kristen) Engelbrecht, and Patricia (David) VanSant; and her beloved nieces and nephews, Sydney, Maia, Logan, Case, Asher, and Esri Engelbrecht; Leo Engelbrecht; Kane, Prairie, Graysen, and Sophia VanSant.
