James Ronald Smith

James R. Smith, 78, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022.  He was born December 30, 1943 to Chester and Verlee (Swain) Smith in Savannah, TN.  

James enjoyed playing golf with his 2 oldest sons, watching western movies, birdwatching, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wynona Smith; siblings, Carol Morgan, Tom Smith, Bill Smith, and Linda Smith; son, James Edward Smith; and granddaughter, Justyce Meg Smith.  James is survived by his children, Billy Ray Smith, Ronnie Paul Smith, Megan Smith, and Jamison Cody Smith; step-children, Tim Finkbeiner, Justin Markley, and Jasa Finkbeiner; brother, Chester Smith, Jr.; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
