Cheryl "Susie" Street

Cheryl "Susie" Street, 79, passed away July 5, 2025. She was born July 17, 1945 in Cherryvale, KS.

Susie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a dedicated "Grammy" that always attended as many of her grandchildren's sporting events as possible. Her exact words, “My Children and Grandchildren make me so proud. I love to watch my Grandkids play ball, and that’s what I live for!” Susie fought hard, beating breast cancer twice. She would often say, “I am a Survivor!” Susie loved to fish and dreamed of living in a log cabin with a pond to fish the day away. We are certain she and Big Vic will be catching some big fish in Heaven. She also adored her beloved dog, Sadie. She spent her last days surrounded by her family, friend Tom and multiple other friends who loved her dearly. Susie will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna (Clifton) McDowell; husband, Victor "Sonny" Street; and sister, Patricia Diane (Wuerderman) Hull.

Susie is survived by her children, Carl Ray (Kimmy) Maxson, Jr., Cherylyn Maxson-Straubmuller, and Victor James Street, Jr.; grandchildren, Travis Lee Maxson Hill, Justin Carl (Karley) Maxson, Caleb Josiah (Alyssa) Barden-Street, Kurtis Joseph Maxson Straubmuller, Jordan Nicholas (Brooke) Maxson, Raylyn Caroline Maxson Straubmuller, Hunter Gage Barden-Street, and Teagan Nova Barden-Street; and great-grandchildren, McCoy Carl Maxson, Miller James Maxson, and Harlan Rettom Maxson Hill.

Memorial Service: 1 pm, Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Reflection Pointe Funeral & Cremation Services, 3201 S. Webb Rd., Wichita, KS 67210. Inurnment will be private at a later date.
