Anita "Annie" Mendiola Moore

Anita "Annie" Mendiola Moore, 67, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024.  She was born on July 24, 1956 to Juanito and Felisa Balce in Busali, Philippines.   

Annie had a passion for cooking for others and enjoying meals with friends and family. She would fill the entire table with delicious dishes. She cooked food from various cultures including Filipino, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese, and American. She also had other hobbies and interests through the years including gardening, crocheting, fishing, ceramics, BINGO, and playing Mah Jong. Annie was devoted to her family and friends. She provided support in many ways to her family and community in Philippines. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Karen Higgins; and siblings, Reuben Balce, Theodoro Balce, and Anacorita Balce. Annie is survived by her husband of 47 years, William R. Moore; children, Liza Pangapalan and Ailyn (Mike) Penley; grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa, Katelynn, Jacob, Lorelai, and Brooke; siblings, Arturo Balce, Juanito Jr. Balce, Clarinda Balce, and Lolita Velarde. She also leaves behind a large extended family in Philippines.

Visitation: Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 4 to 7 pm.   Funeral Service: 10 am, Friday, May 10, 2024, both at Reflection Pointe Funeral & Cremation Services, 3201 S. Webb Rd., Wichita, KS 67210.  Interment to follow at Reflection Pointe Cemetery.
