Cleveland, Donita Renee (McCune), 54, died September 29, 2010. She is survived by her husband, Paul and sons Zachary and Micheal, of the home. Parents Jack and Jerene McCune; sister Denise (Paul) Fouse; brothers Kendall (Kathy) McCune and Kurt (Loretta) McCune, all of Rose Hill; 3 nephews and 2 nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services 10:00 AM Tuesday, Rose Hill Methodist Church. Donita was a life long resident of Rose Hill, as were her parents and grandparents. A 1974 graduate of Rose Hill High School, she graduated from the Patricia Stevens School of Design, and was an interior designer with JC Penney for a time. She attended Butler County Community College, and graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelors degree in Medical Technology. Donita worked as a Med Tech at the Red Cross, the Augusta Hospital, and William Newton Memorial Hospital of Winfield. She was Supervisor of Hematology at William Newton until illness forced her retirement.

Donita was an avid sports fan, and enthusiastically supported any sport her sons participated in. She had a special love for football. She also had a special love for Rose Hill and its people. She never lost her flair for decorating, and helped create many beautiful environments for people simply because she loved to do it. A warm, caring, very funny and loving individual who imprinted on the hearts of all who knew her.



In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Zachary and Micheal's college education. Donations collected by Watson Funeral Home or can be sent to Rose Hill Bank.
