Wampler, Robert R., age 61, Spirit/Boeing Business Systems Analyst for the MR&D Department, passed away April 10, 2010. The visitation with the family present will be held from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday, with services scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, both in the Garden Chapel of Watson Reflection Pointe, 3201 S. Webb Road. Robert was born Jan. 7, 1949, in Dodge City, KS, to Robert and Velma (Steele) Wampler. After moving to Wichita, he began a 33 yr. career at Spirit/Boeing, which during that time he created and held numerous patents for the aircraft industry. His passion in life was his family and fishing. Was preceded in death by his wife Roxie in 2004. He is survived by his loving family, son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Roberta Wampler, sister, Ann Wampler, fiance’, Shaunna Hagan, all of Wichita, in-laws, Jeff and Jean Buzzard, of Hutchinson, grandchildren, Laura and Mike Potter, Jennifer and Chip Weber, 9 great-grandchildren.
