David Preston Knapp, Sr.

David Preston Knapp, Sr.died at age 60, due to complications of heart disease, at the Wichita V.A. Center.He was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He was an Army Veteran and Federal Civil Service Employee, for 21 years. David enjoyed bowling, golf, and his C.B. radio. His C.B. handle was Dr. Pepper.
David was a die-hard Chicago Cub fan and Chicago Bear fan. He was preceded in death by his mother Charletta (Himberger) Knapp-1948, his brother, Donald Knapp, Jr.-1966, his father, Donald Knapp, Sr.-1993,and his half-sister,Kathy Schulte-2009.David is survived by his wife of 38 years,Bonnie (Clayman) Knapp of Wichita, a Derby Wal-Mart employee, Daughter,Traci Knapp,of Oak Forest, Illinois,sons David Knapp, Jr. and Steve Knapp both of Wichita, Kansas. Daughter-in law Sheila Knapp of Wichita, Steve's Fiance', Nicole Woodfill, his only grandchild Destiny Marie Aitchison, and lifelong friends, Sue and Richard Brent and thier daughter Jennifer Martin all of Bel Aire, Kansas, and his beloved Black Lab, Pepper. David, will be truly missed forever. Sleep peacefully my love.
