Lola B. Stiles

Stiles, Lola, age 86, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2009, after a blessed life full of love and family. She also suffered through a long battle with health issues. Memorial Services will be held Monday, September 21, 2009, 2:00 PM, at Woodland United Methodist Church, 1100 W. 15th, where she had been a member for over 55 years. Born in Glencoe, OK in 1923, she came to Wichita just out of high school and met Jack Stiles. They were married Sept. 25, 1942. She was a retired Wichita Public School employee, volunteer at Botanica, devoted wife and loving mother. After retirement, Lola and Jack enjoyed 15 wonderful retirement years traveling by RV, forming many special friendships along the way. Lola was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and her husband. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Jacque Purcell (Dan Greer), Nancy (Mark) Lamb, granddaughter Becky Purcell, grandsons Garrett (Katie) Lamb, Bradley Lamb, brother Gene (Velda) Geller and sister-in-law Flossie (George) Geller.
