Marcelo "Marty" M. Smith

Marcelo M. Smith, 70, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017. Born May 18, 1946, on Leyte Island, Philippines.  Marcelo later resided in Bucklin, Kansas, before finally settling in Wichita, Ks, following his services in the U.S. Air Force.  “Marty” enjoyed being surrounded by the warmth of his family. He thrived off participating in the live’s of his grandchildren. Above all, cherishing every opportunity to uplift others around him.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Aquilina, and father, Melvin Smith, Sr.; along with his brother, Daniel Smith. Marcelo is survived by his wife, Connie M. Smith; three children, Endee (Brad) Lyon, Nikki (Jamie) Overton, and Tanji Smith; grandchildren, Kyler, Eihan, and Trista; siblings, Bob, Marci, Donna, Jim, and Kim and their beloved families.  Visitation will be Sunday, March 26, from 5pm to 7pm at Reflection Pointe Funeral & Cremation Services. Graveside service will begin at 1pm, on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Reflection Pointe Cemetery, 3201 S. Webb Rd., Wichita, Ks 67210.
