Thelma Darlene Leis

Thelma Darlene Leis, age 79, homemaker, devoted wife, loving mother, doting grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away March 3, 2014. Darlene enjoyed gardening, crafting, being a seamstress and cooking for her family. She married Cecil Leis, Sr. on September 13, 1951 at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Wichita, he precedes her in death. Visitation with the family present will be held Friday, March 7 from 5:00-7:00, with the Rosary service immediately following, at Watson Reflection Pointe Chapel, 3201 S Webb Rd, Wichita, KS. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, March 8, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 2300 E. Meadowlark, Derby. Darlene is survived by her son, Cecil James Leis, Jr. of Wichita, daughters, Sherryl (John) Doran of Savannah, MO, Marilyn (Bill) Martin of McMinnville, TN, Linda (Rex) Robert of Rose Hill, KS, Evelyn (Kirk) Spencer of Houston, TX, and sister, Nadine Schurr of Rose Hill, KS, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
