Elizabeth A. (Clarke) Thomas-Tickel, 82, a retired secretary, passed away on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Medicalodge of Coffeyville, where she had been in failing health.
She was born on Nov. 14, 1931, in Parsons to L.W. "Dub" and Rachael (Jackson) Clarke. She graduated from Parsons High School in 1949.
She married Gerald "Jerry" Thomas on May 17, 1953. He preceded her in death in 1981.
She enjoyed traveling, gardening and visiting Branson, Mo.
Survivors include her children, Linda Roberts and her husband, Lane, of Edna, Gary Thomas and his wife, Jill, of Olathe, sister, Helen Janssen and her husband, Don, of Erie; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Memorial Lawn Cemetery patio, Parsons. Watson Funeral Home, 3201 S. Webb Road, Wichita, is handling arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the Bartlett UMC Kitchen Fund.
