Gwynneth L. Christian

Christian, Gwynneth Lee, passed away November 5, 2013 in Derby, Kansas. Gwynn was born October 15, 1937 in Leon, Iowa to Melvin T. and Lois Jones. She lived for most of her childhood in Omaha, Nebraska and as a teenager moved to Wichita, Kansas with her family. She married Bob Ottaway and they had Vicki, Danny and Sandra. Gwynn married Bob Christian in 1988 and they had 25 special years together.

Gwynn is loved by her husband Bob, her children Vicki (Chris) Flattery, Danny (Galina) Ottaway and Sandra Ottaway. Her husband Bob's children Susan (Frank) Shoffner and Rob (Marta) Christian. Her grandchildren Laney (Dion) Curry, Carly (Robert) van Gooswilligen, Tim Flattery, Brent Ottaway, Kira Ottaway, Yuval Shalom, Zach Shoffner and Aley Shoffner. Her great grandson, Axle Ottaway. Her brothers Marvin Jones and his daughter Julie (Nate) Hampel and Tom (Debbie) Jones and sisters Neitha Oland and Jacque (Jan) Murray and many other nieces, nephews and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her brother Norman and her sister Jennifer.

Gwynn had a great love for life and was happiest when she was surrounded by family. A Celebration of Gwynn’s life will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, in the Garden Chapel of Watson Reflection Pointe, 3201 S. Webb, Wichita. A memorial has been established with Wichita Children's Home, 810 North Holyoke, Wichita, KS 67208
