Lt. Col. David Spotswood, (Ret).

Spotswood, (Ret)., Lt. Col. David T., age 83, USAF, passed away October 25, 2013. Vigil will be at 7:00 PM Tuesday (TONIGHT), Funeral Mass 10:00 AM Wednesday, both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery. David was an avid aviator his entire life. He had a distinguished military career, a 31 year veteran of the Air Force, including service in Korea as part of the 13th Bomb Squadron. He also flew the SR-71 Blackbird and was commander of multiple nuclear warhead missile sites. After his retirement from the military, he worked 10 years at Boeing.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Survived by his wife, Betty; daughters, Diana (Jon) Sisk, Lexington, KY; Angela (Bob) Walk, Stafford, VA; Julie Spotswood, Nashville, TN; step-son, Clint (Jenny) Herring, Andover; step-daughter, Elizabeth (Andrew) Cookson, Haysville; brother, Stan (Dorothy) Spotswood, Mexico, MO; 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
