Skip Harrington

Harrington, Edward "Skip" JR, 77, retired construction worker, small business owner and US Navy veteran, passed away Sept 16, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He will be remembered for his dedication to the sport of wrestling in both Kansas and Oklahoma. He touched many lives through his coaching and love of the sport. He was born in Kansas City, MO on November 29, 1935. He married Judi Brown on Dec. 30, 1961. They were married for 46 years before her death in 2007. He is survived by his five children: sons, Skip Harrington of Florida, Eddie (April) Harrington of Catoosa OK, Jeff Harrington of Tulsa OK; daughters, Maggie Jensen of North Sioux City SD, Cindy (Steve) Shavlik of Derby; brother, Robert (Virginia) Harrington of Wichita. He had 16 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson. Skip had a special relationship with each, and will be missed by all. Services 10 a.m. Friday, Sept 27 at St. Mary’s Parish, Derby, KS.
