Audrey Joan Johnson

Johnson, Audrey J., age 62, passed away suddenly but peacefully September 3, 2013. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 11:30AM-3:30 PM at Payne Township Hall, 201 E. Central, Greenwich, KS. Audrey was born on August 18, 1951 in Niangua, Missouri and passed away on September 3, 2013 in Wichita, Kansas. She moved to Wichita in 1966 with her family. She married her husband, William on December 25, 1974 in Wichita, KS. Together, they had a son, Byron, and a daughter, Ashley. Audrey was a caring wife, mother, sister and grandmother; doing her best to make each holiday and family event memorable. She spent most of her life helping other people by sharing her love of cooking. Everyone that had the opportunity to taste her food will not soon forget it or her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruxie Roach & Earnest Hall; brother, Raymond Hall; sister, Bonita Dixon. She is survived by her husband of 38 years William Johnson; son Byron Johnson and wife, Tara; daughter, Ashley Liby and husband, Luke; stepfather, Thomas Roach; brother, Sam Hall; sisters, Erline Johnson; Joyce West; Deena Smith; and Elizabeth Corbett; grandchildren, Matrim Ingram and Carter Scobee. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Kansas Humane Society or The Friends of Felines in Audrey’s name because of her love of animals.
