She grew up on a farm and graduated from Hallsville High School in 1964. She loved music, sang, played in a clarinet trio and played in the Hallsville High School Band. She moved to Wichita in 1964. She married her husband, Mack, on July 8, 1966 in Olathe, KS. Together, they had two sons, Phillip, and Mack Jr., who died at birth. She went to work for Boeing in 1978 where she worked as a material processor lead and worked there until she retired in 2005. She attended Cowley County College for more than a year. Judy was a very special wife, mother, stepmother and grandmother; doing her best to make each life event memorable. She spent most of her life helping other people, always sending cards and flowers to everyone for every occasion and making food for her friends and family just because she loved to share her talents. If you knew Judy, you know that she loved the color red and loved big, bulky jewelry…the bigger the better! She always loved antiques and was a huge Nascar fan. She especially loved Carl Edwards, because he was from her home town, Columbia, Missouri. She owned a 1952 Studebaker pickup for many years and showed it in several states with her husband, Mack.
