Martha I Downes

Downes, Martha Irena (Anderson) "Marty" "GRAM," 87 ("second childhood" age 7), joyfully soared into the gates of Heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (and beloved brother Darrell Anderson) February 25, 2013. Martha was born in Nebraska and traveled many places around the world before retiring in Victorville, CA in 1978 after a 33 year nursing career. She was cleansed by the Blood of Christ and baptized in 1971. She moved to Wichita, KS in 2003 to be closer to her family. Surving family of "The Lodge" Darrell, Laurie, Cie and Ashley Anderson; James Marx; Mauricio and Mariano Martinez. Also survived by Addy, David, Dareck, Zephaniah, and Finlay-Rose Anderson, and her "family" of Victorville, CA. A celebration of Martha's life will be held at her church home, Andover Baptist Church, 1043 S. Andover Rd, on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. While our hearts are deeply saddened by the loss of such a bright and joyous light in our lives, we are overjoyed in the knowledge that our Grammy is in the loving arms of Jesus Christ!
