Millspaugh, Orville W.,82, Accountant, died Sept. 21, 2005. Memorial service 11:00AM Monday, Sept, 26, in Watson’s Garden Chapel. He was born Jan. 28, 1921 at Turon, Reno County, Kansas to L.P. and Edna M.. (Barrett) Millspaugh. Mr. Millspaugh was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel, and son Orville W. He is survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, Forrest L. Evans of Andover, Kalen M. (Ackley) Larson of Derby, Michelle (Millspaugh) Van Horn of Henderson, NV, Roy Grant of Chillicothe, IL, Rosalie (Grant) Hiskisson of Pontiac, IL, Edwin G. Grant of Balch Springs, TX, Gary L. Grant of East Peoria, IL, William B. Grant II of Torrance, CA, and Ronald Grant of CA. Mr. Millspaugh served in the Army during WWII with the 20th Armored Division in the European Theater of Operations. His service overseas included military actions in France, Holland, Belgium, Germany, and Austria. The division spearheaded infantry action to liberate Dachau Prison Camp at Munich, Austria. Upon returning to civilian status he was employed with daily newspapers at both Streator and Champaign, Illinois. He graduated from the University of Illinois in 1953, and was employed with State Universities Retirement System on the U of I campus until 1967. He an his wife moved to California where he served with the Navy as a Civil Servant Accounting Supervisor with Pacific Missile Test Center at the Naval Air Station, Pt. Mugu, CA until retirement in Feb., 1983. Mr. Millspaugh was a 32nd degree Mason and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of East Heights United Methodist Church in Wichita. Inurnment will be held at Long Point , IL, Cemetery.
