Harold L. Smith

Smith, Harold L., 74, retired Grain Elevator Inspector, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 13, 2005. Graveside funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, July 18, at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence, KS. A visitation with the family present will be on Sunday from 3-5PM in the Garden Chapel at Watson Funeral Home. Harold was the treasurer in the San Marcos Lion’s Club. He was also a member of the Board of Trustees at the Virginia Avenue Baptist Church of Bartlesville, OK. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Gail (Lepley) Smith and his brothers, Lowell, Ormond, and Dale Smith. He is survived by his loving wife, Alma Ruth (Cole) Smith of Derby, KS, daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann and James Arion, of Wichita, KS, sister, Mabel Moore of Tulsa, OK, brothers, Neil Smith of Phoenix, AZ, and Robert Smith of Buhler, KS, grandchildren, Lori Ann Wampler of Wichita, and Daniel D. Wampler of Houston, TX, great-grandchildren, Ryan Walker of Wichita, and Jeffrey Walker of Wichita. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
