Dateline: Wichita, KS

Castleberry, Edward Gilespie “Buck”, 74, retired Evangelist and Group Home Care Provider, peacefully went to be with Jesus Wednesday, April 20, 2005. A visitation with the family present will take place from 7-8 PM Friday, April 22 in the Garden Chapel At Watson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 23, at Central Christian Church with burial following at Greenwood Cemetery. He will be missed as a beloved husband, # 1 father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. An evangelist at heart, he was not only a hearer, but a doer of the word, always willing to give an answer for the hope within him. As a man of great faith, he was gifted with wisdom from God Above. Having never met a stranger, he was always willing to help someone in need. Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, Bill and Jesse Castleberry, sister, Ruby Nigro, brother-in-law, Lee Wagy, daughters, Mari Edwana, Anita Schuth, and Yovanda Latrice, and granddaughter, Addie Mendel. Survivors include his wife Nava, daughters, Kathy & son-in-law Bob Mendel of Wichita, and Bianca Lowrey of Clearwater, FL, brother John Castleberry of Wichita, sisters, Johnnie Pauline Jackson, of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Mary Wagy of Parkville, MO, grandchildren, Jason, Amy, Bonnie, Spencer, Benjamin, Nicole, and Adrianne, great grandchildren, Cody, Brittney, Nick, Madison, Emma, and Arianna.
