White, John O., age 83, formerly of Hammond, IN, passed over to the other side Wednesday, February 23, 2011, to meet his loved ones before him. Proceeded in death by his 2 sons, John Jr. and David; and his brother and sister. Survived by loving wife, Ruth, of 58 years; daughter, Bonnie (Mark) Johnson of Wichita; 1 grandson, James. He was a Decorated Navy Veteran of WWII and Korean Wars. He was a Life Member Veteran of Foreign Wars, Past Master and 50 year member of McKinley Masonic Lodge of Schererville, IN, V.F.W. Chaplain for 10 years and Quarter Master for 2 years, Captain of Orack Shrine. Cremation taken place no services.
