Elvira M. Kime

Kime, Elvira Melissa (Luke), age 97, passed away December 19, 2010. Funeral service will be at College Hill United Methodist Church, 10:30 a.m. Thursday. She was born April 30, 1913, in Sugar Creek, MO, to Frank and Jessie Luke. As a child, she moved to Iowa and later to Nebraska. On April 22, 1931, she married Archibald Kime. To this union was born a son, Donald Eugene Kime. They moved to the ranch of Archie’s father and she helped raise his brothers as their mother passed away in 1932. Elvira remained on the ranch until her husband of 74 years passed away a few years ago, then moved to Derby, KS to live with her son. She was a loving mother and never thought of herself. She always worried about someone else and what she could do for them. She leaves to mourn her death, her son Donald, nieces and nephews, neighbors and many friends. She will be laid to rest in Gordon, NE. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Double Circle Sunday School Class, College Hill United Methodist Church. Share memories at watsonfuneral.com
